What Is the Timeline?

Construction began March 27 following a reported water main break.

Please note that timelines are subject to change due to a variety of factors.

Update: Below is the current timeline for remaining repairs. All dates are subject to change.

  • Friday, April 5: Street paving by a TVWD contractor
  • Monday, April 8: Water main connections at NW Tillamook & NW Park View, traffic controls will be in place in the intersection
  • Tuesday, April 9: Finishing construction, weather depending with delays likely

Why now?

The existing water main is leaking and is not repairable.

Replacing this water main helps provide reliable water service into the future, reduces the chance of leaking and broken water mains, and provides greater fire protection coverage.

How does this affect me?

Depending on your property type and use, this project will affect you in different ways and times:

Temporary Service

Customers closest to NW Park View Drive & NW Tillamook Drive were served water from a temporary service connection. In response to the water main break on March 27, installing a temporary service allows these customers to have regular water service while TVWD crews installed the new water main.

Working Times

Work will occur between the hours of 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Work may periodically occur outside of these times if approved by Washington County.

Traffic Disruptions

Vehicular and pedestrian access within the project area will be limited during construction. The road in the project area remains closed until road rehab work is complete at the end of the project.

This project will include times when the intersections on NW Park View Blvd and NW Tillamook Drive will be limited or controlled by flaggers.

General Construction Disruptions

During construction, heavy equipment and materials will be located in the work area. These areas will be clearly marked with cones and/or caution tape. When construction is occurring noise and dust may be present.
